Submission Guidelines
Metapsychosis is currently seeking the following:
- Non-fiction articles and essays no more than 2,500 words in length
- Thoughtful, non-academic longform (don’t send us your academic submissions…yet)
- Fiction should be anywhere up to 10,000 words
We encourage interdisciplinary writing. When scholarly, it should be in the spirit of the public intellectual (via Ralph Waldo Emerson, Umberto Eco and Susan Sontag). It should possess something of a “negative capability” (via John Keats), or an “antifragility” (Nassim Taleb). Most of all, writers should have the capacity not only to tolerate but to thrive on diverse points of view and modes of expression.
