Chthonia: 2022
Thanks to everyone who offered their support for the Antarean Oracle; it didn’t meet its Kickstarter goal, but anyone who is interested should email me at chthonia@chthonia.net, as I will be working with an alternate print-on-demand distributor to get the deck in print next year.
I’ve been extremely busy with chapter requests; I’m working on a chapter on Tantra and Hinduism and the Gothic for an Indian Gothic anthology edited by. Dr. Aparajita Hazra, and have been asked to contribute a chapter on the Lamia and other child snatching monsters in popular culture for an essay collection entitled It Came From Beneath, edited by Simon Bacon. I also have a chapter being published this month on Dionysus in the three-volume set De Naturae Fidei, a collection about the nature of religion edited by Dr. Jibu George from Authors Press Books (India, not the California self-publishing house).
Chthonia is expanding in 2022; I’m adding regular conversations with scholars, authors and artists who deal with the dark feminine coming in the new year. I’ve got three conversation commitments for next year already, and I should have a few more by the time this is published, in addition to the regular podcast. Class offerings at Chthonia’s educational branch called Scholars of the Borderland will be adding new offerings by January; these include short, inexpensive courses/lectures on topics as well as some newer long classes. Finally—there is a major book contract in the works; I’ll have details in one of the the next newsletters once it’s official.
