Metapsychosis is a journal of consciousness, literature, and art, publishing original writing and digital art from the edges of contemporary spirituality, philosophy, storytelling, and poetics. We feature authors who blend the visionary with the literary, the surreal with the subtle, engaging the complexity of our human situation with dark lucidity and shocking nuance. They are magicians, tricksters, teachers, healers, prophets, rebels, guides; they are none of the above, nor perhaps of the below. Their work activates potentials, touching vast and intimate histories, divining what it means to be alive in troubled times.
As an intellectual portal for aesthetic nourishment, Metapsychosis strives to bring the life of the mind to life. The journal provides a space for vibrant and emergent planetary voices to be heard, their contributions amplified by critical reception and generative dialogue. Although creative work is often accomplished in solitude, we believe there must also be a space to receive it—a literary community and appreciative cultural milieu—where the gift has influence and effect, where artists are given meaningful feedback and support.
In conjunction with Cosmos Co-op and our imprint, Untimely Books, we host reading and writing groups, online discussions, and virtual events such as the Cosmos Café dialogue series. We foster an ethos of collaboration among peers and invite community members to interact with us in our forum channels at Infinite Conversations. As a radical collective, we affirm principles of spiritual sovereignty, economic solidarity, and social transformation. We practice kindness. We cultivate empathic communication and openly engage in cultural activism through advocating for the integral, the weird, the neurodiverse, and the genius in us all.
