Features Interviews Mythos, Society (Multitudes), feminine, masculine, mythology, podcast

An introduction to Brigid’s new podcast CHTHONIA with a discussion of the relevance of dark feminine mythology for modern times.

We talk about Kali, Medusa, the Morrigan, and other female figures of the underworld and the long history of repression of the forces these represent—which are now making a return.

Along the way we touch on some of the ancient Babylonian, Egyptian, Hebrew, Greek, and Celtic sources for the stories Brigid is exploring in her podcast, and we discuss what it’s like to personally communicate with ‘otherworldly’ (mythic, religious, super-natural, or spiritual) beings.

Note: Brigid has been an editor with Metapsychosis since 2017. You can learn more about Brigid’s literary, scholarly, and artistic projects at chthonia.net.
