John Fellenor

John Fellenor is aging on a regular basis and wishes he wasn’t. He’d like to look like Brad Pitt. John rents a small house in Southern England and leads a non-eventful life. He hasn’t climbed Everest, and never will, nor visited any exotic countries. John likes some people he has met and has three friends. He has a largely negative view of the generalized masses. John tries to take a balanced view of social media and the media in general but finds this difficult. Unfortunately the “trying” tends not to work and it just makes him feel more despondent. John says that he prefers animals to people, but he doesn’t recycle anything and still squashes spiders.

Philosophically, John tries to align himself with pessimism but can’t usually be bothered to read more than the first few pages of a book, before getting bored and buying another. On the plus side, he does have a collection of 1950s sci-fi DVD’s that provide him with some sense of achievement. He isn’t sure where this sense of achievement is rooted, or even if it is valid.

Maxims include: “Fiction is just that”, “It doesn’t matter what creed or color you are. A giant food blender is a great leveler”, and “There is no virtue in hard work, having kids, getting cancer, getting old or dying young. A giant food blender is a great leveler.” John has no particular plans for the future, has never really had a plan, and looks back on life with lots of regrets. The title of his first book is See What You Think About This (SWYTAT). Now, he’s working on a follow up, based on a character therein.
